Varsity Volleyball Game Report
Woburn .vs. Lexington
9/27/17
The winning streak is up to 6 games as the Tanner volleyball team is looking like a huge threat to the rest of the Middlesex League. The Tanners started Wednesday with a 7-1 record and entered as the favorite in the match against the 3-4 Lexington team. The Minutemen were no match for a superior Tanners team, as Woburn improved to 8-1 with a win over Lexington in just three sets. The first set started off close as it was a lot of back and forth throughout. Woburn ended up taking it by four winning 25-21. In the second set, the change of sides seemed to benefit the road team as they took the win by seven this time, 25-18. Being one set away from a six game winning streak, Woburn didn’t hold back in the last set. The blew out the Minutemen winning the final set 25-16. The Tanners travel to Salem on Monday, getting the weekend off from games to get ready for a huge week. Winchester comes to Woburn High school in the biggest matchup of the season so far as they are the two best teams in the league.
