Danvers vs. Woburn

Game Report

Sunday’s boys varsity basketball game between Woburn and Danvers wasn’t much of a game at all.
The starters led the way during the first half of the game as Woburn coasted to an early first quarter
lead. Junior guard Ryan Ludwig set the tone for the Tanners as he led the way with fourteen points
mostly all of them coming in the first half of the game. Senior’s Isaiah Cashwell-Doe and Matt Juko
each pitched in as well as Cashwell-Doe had eleven points and Juko added a few key rebounds
and blocks. The Danvers team looked lost on the court with Juko controlling the paint on defense
and a quick Tanners offense that couldn’t miss from the three point line. Woburn had a 39-19
lead going into the third quarter which only widened thanks to the spectacular bench play.
Junior guard Kyle Bennett and freshman guard Dylan McLaughlin led the team off the bench.
Dylan rounded out the top three in scoring with ten points all coming in the second half of the
game. Woburn as a team ended the third quarter with thirty points to their name and a 69-35 lead
over a hopeless Danvers team. The final score ended in a 89-51 blowout. The 44 point win was by
far the largest margin of victory even for a successful Tanners team. On Friday, the Tanners host
the Winchester Sachems in a rivalry game at 7:00. Large crowds of anticipation are expected as
the game looks to be much closer than the one against Danvers.

H&M promotes themselves with potential racism, celebrities respond

Clothing retailer H&M is facing extreme backlash ever since they uploaded a new item to their website-
a sweatshirt that read “Coolest monkey in the jungle” modeled by a black child. There are always two
sides to every story, but in this situation, there is more of one opinion than the other.

There is a deep and dark history behind the word monkey, and we aren’t talking 100% about the animal. Monkey is used
as a racial slur. The slur “monkey” is derived from the slur “porch-monkey,” which according to Urban Dictionary, is a
“slang [word] originally held to highlight the segregation-induced laziness of negroes in pre-civil rights era America.”

The fact that a black child was pictured modeling the sweatshirt on H&M’s US and UK websites is what brought
up all of the backlash. This image passed by many editors, writers, and other workers of H&M and nobody
seemed to realize the “mistake.” The image, pictured below in a screenshot from singer The Weeknd’s Twitter
account, passed by numerous people and was published, while no one realized the issue at hand with the image
and sweatshirt.

After the image surfaced, celebrities such a G-Eazy and The Weeknd were sure to use their high social platforms
to spread awareness of the situation. On instagram, G-Eazy (@g_eazy) posted a mock picture of the original
image posted with this caption:

Over the past months I was genuinely excited about launching my upcoming line and collaboration with
@HM… Unfortunately, after seeing the disturbing image yesterday, my excitement over our global campaign
quickly evaporated, and I’ve decided at this time our partnership needs to end. Whether an oblivious oversight
or not, it’s truly sad and disturbing that in 2018, something so racially and culturally insensitive could pass by
the eyes of so many (stylist, photographer, creative and marketing teams) and be deemed acceptable.

I can’t allow for my name and brand to be associated with a company that could let this happen.

I hope that this situation will serve as the wake up call that H&M and other companies need to get on track and
become racially and culturally aware, as well as more diverse at every level.

Also commenting on the situation is singer/songwriter Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd. On his twitter
(@theweeknd) Tesfaye posted a reaction tweet to the H&M scandal.

H&M issued an apology through their email and on their website. Sadly, the “sincere” apology has been taken down from
the group’s website since. Part of the apology issued,  “To all customers, staff, media, stakeholders, partners, suppliers,
friends and critics. We would like to put on record our position in relation to the image and promotion of a children’s
sweater, and the ensuing response and criticism. Our position is simple and unequivocal – we have got this wrong and
we are deeply sorry.”

Overall, the issue presented by H&M is a huge eye opener for the whole nation. Through this possible mistake,
people across the country and the world have been exposed to the possible racism within the post and have
equally expressed their deep opinions.

Boys Varsity Basketball Game Report 1/9

The Woburn Varsity Basketball team rolled into Reading coming off a tough loss 69-67 against
Belmont a week ago. Still, at 5-2, the Tanners had the record advantage against Reading.

In the first few minutes, it looked like the Tanners were going to drop their second game in a
row. Woburn came out sluggish on defense; Reading was moving the ball at will and hit their
first three threes to start the game to open a 11-2 lead. But for the remainder of the quarter,
Woburn managed to find some points and went into the second quarter down 16-10.

The second quarter was all Woburn’s. After a week off, they started to get back any momentum
or energy lost. Off the bench, it was Matt Walusimbi drawing a charge on defense and making
a three on offense to spark a run. Then, starters Isaiah Cashwell-Doe and Ryan Ludwig made
excellent plays in transition after numerous steals by the entire defense.  Reading could not
move the ball nevermind score. Woburn took a 32-22 lead going into halftime after outscoring
the Rockets 22-6 in the second period.

In the third quarter, the Tanners came out a little sluggish again. They allowed Reading back
into the game with sloppy turnovers and missed layups late in the shot clock. Thankfully, the
Rockets were not able to take advantage and still trailed 43-38 at the end of the third quarter.
If Woburn was playing a better opponent, they probably would have given up a big run.

If a stretch could define this entire game, it was the start of the fourth quarter. No one scored
until halfway through and the teams combined for what seemed like twenty turnovers. The
scoreboard operator must have fallen asleep and lead stayed around five for the entire quarter.
Down the stretch, it was senior Matt Juko who made sure Woburn would keep their lead. He
had two blocks and five points in a two minute stretch late in the fourth. While keeping four
points away from Reading and adding five to Woburn, the Tanners were able to come away
with the win 52-46. Ryan Ludwig led the team in points with 15 and Woburn improved to 6-2
on the season. Their next game is against Danvers on Sunday at 12:00.

Girls Basketball January 9th Woburn vs Reading

Coming off a game that got snowed out against Arlington, the Tanners looked past that and played an important conference game last night against the 3-3 Reading Rockets which was a solid game for both teams that saw the Tanners pull away with the win (61-54). The Tanners came into the game with a lot of defense that caused the Rockets score 54 points. The youth of the Rockets seemed to be their downfall as the team consists of six sophomores and three freshman I’m sure Reading will be able to improve in that area as the season goes on as the more they play the more experience they will get. This is also obviously a good thing for the further though as they will look to be threats to the Tanners in the upcoming years. The Tanners will look at keep up their dominance as they head into Winchester on the 19th for their next game. The captains will need to rally the team together and not get down if things begin to slip up in order to win the game in Winchester.

A review and a comment regarding dashed expectations

At 2 hours and 35 minutes, the latest addition to the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi is the longest movie in the franchise to date, and many claim that it may be the funniest. With a budget of 200 million USD, director Rian Johnson had room to play with his comedic scripts and gain access to some of the best visual effects artists and gadgets in the world.

This new film follows Rey, played by Daisy Ridley along with Luke Skywalker, played by the infamous Mark Hamill on their journey to save the Rebellion from the First Order. As Rey attempts to gain Luke’s trust, and essentially become his apprentice or Padawan and learn the ways of the Force as a Jedi in order to learn more about her powers and about herself as well as get him to join her in the Rebel Alliance.

Dialogue between Ben Solo, better known as Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver and Ridley’s character grows and fans get a new look into the internal conflict between Kylo’s light and dark side. Fans also get a look into why Kylo turned to the dark side and how Luke had a hand in it.

Viewers see Kylo fight for power with General Hux of the First Order, played by Domhnall Gleeson. The two bicker with one another like children giving the duo a sibling like relationship and this really shows as they strive to gain affection and acceptance from Supreme Leader Snoke, played by actor Andy Serkis.

The First Order goes head to head with the Rebel Alliances dwindling forces lead by Princess Leia Organa played by Carrie Fisher and Poe Dameron, the witty Rebel pilot played by Oscar Isaac. In this film many were pleased to see a new side of Princess Leia that had never before been shown to the audience.

While Leia and Poe are on the run from the First Order, Finn the defective Stormtrooper turned Rebel hero, played by John Boyega, is on a mission to get inside of the main ship of the First Order and sabotage their mission from the inside out with his new accomplice Rose Tico a mechanic on one of the Rebel’s ships played by Kelly Marie Trans.

Star Wars The Last Jedi leaves quite a few questions unanswered and ruins many fan’s conspiracies revolving around Rey and her backstory and lineage. Many superfans have made comments that go something like, “Our own ideas were more interesting than what they came up with”.

Some fans had ideas that maybe she was a descendant of Qui Gon considering that he was one of the few Jedi who broke the rule of staying single forever. Other fans thought of Rey as a “chosen one” of sorts, as Anakin Skywalker was, and was immaculately conceived to bring balance to the force.

These fan theories were crushed when the Last Jedi reveals that Rey’s parents were addicts and merchants and sold her off to benefit themselves, leaving her to be a slave in Jakku to Unkar Plutt as a young child.

The new installment of Star Wars leaves the identity of Supreme Leader of the First Order, Snoke, open for interpretation. Some conspiracy theorists believed that Snoke was actually Mace Windu the Jedi with the only shown purple lightsaber in the movies to date, whose arm was cut off by Anakin Skywalker as he turned to the Dark Side.

But Windu, played by Samuel L Jackson in the second trilogy was killed by Palpatine, better known as Darth Sidious, in Episode III Revenge of the Sith, or is presumed dead after being struck with Palpatine’s force lightning and thrown off of one of the top floors of a skyscraper in Coruscant.

Others believe that Supreme Leader Snoke is an entirely new character to this story and that his backstory is going to unravel a whole new side of the Unknown Universe in the Galaxy. Snoke was not affiliated with the Sith Lords as far as anyone was aware but he was definitely strong with the Dark Side.

Though Disney killed off Snoke’s character in Episode VIII, a large quantity of fans were unhappy to cut his story so short or in half… As Kylo Ren used his power with the force to cut Snoke in half with a lightsaber.

One of the most controversial topics revolving around this new film is the attitude and demeanor of Luke Skywalker. Hamill’s performance in the Last Jedi is said to be one of his best yet, but would the Luke Skywalker fans love, act in such a way as he did in episode VIII? Would he act so childish around Rey and even Master Yoda?

After so many years basically alone on an island in the middle of nowhere it may be possible that Luke’s personality would have drastically changed in the way that it did but many fans expected more out of their Jedi Knight.

Fans all over the world were rocked to watch as Luke deceived Kylo with his force projection and died from being so exhausted. Many beg the question “Why did he have to die?”, and “What does this mean for the future of the Jedi race?”.

This film also leaves open the end of Princess Leia, as Carrie Fisher died after filming for the Last Jedi was over of a heart attack. In the movie, she is blown out into space after her ship was attacked by the First Order and she is floating amongst the stars and many thought that this would have been the end for Leia but they were wong.

Many die hard fans have always wanted to see Leia use the force as she is sister to Luke Skywalker and daughter of Anakin Skywalker AKA Darth Vader but finally, in the Last Jedi, they go to see it happen. Audiences watched as Leia soared through space using the force to bring herself back onto her ship and get herself to safety and felt empowered seeing General Organa finally use the force.

It is uncertain what the writers and producers will do with Fisher’s character but she will definitely live on throughout history and continue to inspire other women to be as strong as her.  

Evil Empire Signs Stanton; Red Sox Nation Gnashes It's Teeth

It’s no good for baseball that the Yankees bought Giancarlo Stanton from the Marlins for Starlin Castro and two unknowns. Although Stanton joins a lineup with Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez, the World Series trophy isn’t headed to New York just yet.

Acquiring Stanton was a massive lift for a Yankee team that had enough power to begin with. Stanton will likely hit between Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Greg Bird and Didi Gregorius all who have monster power. The national league MVP ads decent defense in right field that can give Aaron Judge some off days and provides the Yankees with flexibility to trade Jacoby Ellsbury.

Reasons for pessimism regarding their chances start internally with the Yankees. Injuries are inevitable during an MLB season, and some of the Yankees have a history of trips to the disabled list. Stanton hasn’t had a ton of full injury free seasons and Masahiro Tanaka is usually injured as well. Any other injuries could hurt this Yankee squad in an unpredictable baseball season.

Stanton and Judge both had monster seasons last year, each hitting over 50 home runs and were both in the running for MVP. Those types of seasons are statistically proven to be peak seasons in a players career. The chances that Stanton will hit 59 home runs again is somewhat unlikely even though he will be facing the Orioles and pitching regularly throughout the year. During the second half of the year, pitchers started figuring out Judge allowing for more strikeouts and fewer home runs.

Since it’s clear that those are massive IFs one thing that is certain is that the MLB playoffs are the most unpredictable of the sports playoffs. Any of the ten teams involved have a viable chance to win the World Series, as proven when both road wild card teams made the series when the Giants beat the Royals. After 162 games, getting the 11 playoff wins are unbelievably difficult even for super teams like the new Yankees.

The Yankees are scary, but impact players are still on the free agent market. Additions can be made and injuries and declines can happen. Ten months separate today from October, so who knows what will happen between now and then.

Are bake sales gone forever?

Since the end of October, you may have noticed that there has been an absence of bake sales at lunch. This isn’t because clubs and sports have lost their spirit, but rather because Woburn High’s administration has had to put an end to these fundraisers. However, many rumors have spread concerning this decision and how it was made.

Some rumors say the decision has been made because bake sales compete with school lunch, others say that there is too much of a mess that comes with these fundraisers. Principal Callanan shed some light on this.

“The food that is being sold at bake sales is actually against the nutritional policies of the state,” explained Callanan.

Principal Callanan is not wrong. According to the department of Health and Human Services, the amount of calories allowed in a school snack is 200. A glazed doughnut sold at a bake sale is around 255 calories according to livestrong.com and the calories only go up from there. Principal Callanan also mentioned that many schools have completely stopped allowing bake sales, including Salem High School where she worked previously.

The issues surrounding bake sales were brought to Principal Callanan’s attention last year, but it wasn’t until they noticed how many bake sales were going on that the school had to make a decision to put an end to these fundraisers. At the beginning of this school year, there was nearly a bake sale everyday which allegedly caused chaos and competed with school lunch.

Principal Callanan has indicated that this will be a permanent decision and there will not be any more bake sales at Woburn High. However, this doesn’t mean that clubs and sports have no way of raising money.

“Bake sales after school or at sporting events are welcome! Athletes who have to stay after school for practice would especially benefit from after school bake sales so they have a snack before practice,” commented Callanan.

Principal Callanan also described some of the fundraisers Salem High School would have, including fun games like pie in the face.

In other news, many WMHS students are concerned with whether or not the talent show or Dating Game will happen this year. Principal Callanan could confirm that the Talent Show will be held after school so parents may also attend. Although, she wasn’t able to give a definite answer as to whether or not the Dating Game will be continued.

Woburn vs. Billerica

November 2, 2017

On Thursday, Woburn Volleyball played in the first round of the Division 1 North Massachusetts Girls Volleyball Tournament. After a 17-3 season, the Tanners got the #4 seed and Billerica (10-10) ended up as the #13 seed. Safe to say, the Tanners were expected to win.

In the first set, you could tell that the two teams were excited to be in the playoffs. The intensity was different than most regular season games, but a lot of shots had too much power as well. Luckily, more shots went out of bounds for Billerica and Woburn took advantage. After getting out to a 17-8 lead, Billerica called a timeout to try and slow Woburn down. However, nothing could slow the tank that is the Varsity Volleyball team and Woburn won the set 25-14.

In the second set, things started to get a bit more interesting. After Woburn went up 10-5, Billerica called another timeout. This time, the Indians came out with some fight. They went on an 11-3 run, now forcing Woburn to call a timeout. Now, you could feel how important this set was. If Billerica wins, they tie the game 1-1 and have the momentum. If Woburn wins, they open up an almost insurmountable 2-0 lead. After the timeout, Woburn made a push and managed to tie the game at 22. They would take advantage of some Billerica mistakes and end up winning the set 25-23. After a small scare, they were back in control.

The third set featured more of the same from the Tanners. After trailing for a bit early, they went up 19-16 and never looked back. Even as Billerica was looking for a miracle, Woburn closed them out. They won 25-20 and the crowd couldn’t have been happier. They will play Saturday at 7:00 P.M. in the next round of the playoffs. Be sure to attend the game at the high school and be ready to cheer on your fellow Tanners as they continue their tournament run.

Woburn vs Masco

The Woburn Tanners football team was more stunned than a two-year-old on Halloween last Friday in Masconomet. Woburn led 9-7 at the half as captain Eri Ibrahimi ran it in from one yard out on the opening drive, and quarterback and kicker Ryan Qualey added a field goal in the second. The Tanners were able to score late and recover a Masco fumble in the end zone. Senior Jack Hayes scooped the ball up and was touched down in the end zone resulting in a tough back. Unable to ice the game, Woburn punted the ball back to Masco with 26 seconds left. Masco was left with no time outs and needed a prayer to take home the victory, and their prayer was answered. Somehome, Masco drove down the field and scored with six seconds left to stun the Tanners with a final score of 20-17. Although the season is over, all was not lost. Co Captain Isaiah Cashwell-Doe ran for over 1,000 yards on the season and quarterback Ryan Qualey threw for over 10 TDs. Woburn continues their path to the Thanksgiving game against Sudbury this Friday at home in a consolation game.

Woburn vs. Lexington

October 20, 2017

Woburn finished the regular season with their toughest opponent yet: Lexington. The Minutemen were 6-0 coming into the game and had been crushing every opponent. They had an average margin of victory of 23.2 points and were scoring 42 points per game. Safe to say that coming close to Lexington is a moral victory for any opponent.

Lexington made their mark just three plays into the game. A 60+ yard rushing touchdown put the Minutemen up 7-0, and they were not done there. Following a quick punt, Lexington went right down the field, finishing the drive with a passing touchdown. Lexington senior QB Sal Frelick was dominant against Woburn for the entire game. On most big downs he would scramble with ease for first downs. When the Tanners managed to stop the run, Frelick would hit them over the top with long passes. Frelick was playing like a Umass Minuteman against the Woburn High defense.

After Lexington scored two more touchdowns to make it 28-0, the Tanners finally got on the board. On 4th down from the 31-yard line, Woburn executed as flea flicker for a touchdown. Unfortunately, that would prove to be the high point of the night. Lexington put up another touchdown before the half, making the score 35-7 at halftime. As far as the crowd was concerned, this game was over. Many left at halftime, probably in a hurry to get their weekend homework done early.

In the second half, Woburn put up 28 points to Lexington’s 17. Junior quarterback Ryan Qualey had three touchdowns, including a 63-yard touchdown pass. Also, Sal Frelick continued to dominate for Lexington, ending the game with 3 passing touchdowns and 3 rushing touchdowns. The final score was 52-35, Lexington staying undefeated and Woburn dropping to 4-3. Next Friday, Woburn will take on Masconoment in a do-or-die game in the Division 2 North Playoffs. Go root for your Tanners as they battle to stay alive!

2017-2018 Student Elections

The student election is an annual event that takes place at Woburn Memorial High School. This year, elections and voting took place during the first week of October. Final voting took place during the first four periods on Friday, October 6th. All votes were in by that afternoon, creating a humorous and competitive atmosphere throughout the high school.  

The student body expects a lot from from their class officers. Candidates must possess traits such a leadership, confidence, communication, commitment, and honesty in order to be chosen for a certain role in the election by the peers in their grades. They manage money, class activities, and grade wide events. Every year with the help of the activities committee, these selected student leaders carry out tasks and make difficult decisions that not every student could make alone.

In the freshman class, four candidates ran a tight race for the Presidency. Jenna Casey and her competitors Melissa Murphy, Fred Parziale and Sophia Matthews fought for the two Presidential spots before primaries. However, the freshman class voted and narrowed the four candidates down to Fred Parziale and Jenna Casey after primaries. The freshman class also had more than two candidates run for Vice President. Sophia Bishop faced off against Jessica Pich and Adam Ghilli. The freshman class spoke again and Jessica Pich did not make it past from the primaries. For Secretary, Christie Delanois ran unopposed. Also running opposed was Ciana Dickey for the Freshman Class Representative and Timothy Pratt for Treasurer. Freshman Darian Cain discussed her feelings on her first student election with the Bull’s Eye.

“For me, my first school election was a very fun and interesting experience. I thought that the overall setup was extremely organized. Plus, the election made me feel more involved in my school.”

Next, the sophomore class battled for the Presidential seat. At the start, former president Isabella “Bella” LoRusso, her impeached rival Marc Beliard, and newcomers Meri Ibrahimi and Noah Stebbins strived for one of the two spots coming out of the primaries. During the class speeches, you could hear the excitement in all four candidates speeches about running either for the first time, or returning. Bella and Marc threw shade towards each other in their speeches. Bella focused mainly on educating the audience on how last year, although he won fairly, Marc was impeached and consequently Bella was appointed the President for the freshman class.

Bella believes, “Everyone deserves a second chance. I’m glad he ran because I love the thrill of the competition.” For Vice President, Isabelle Bickford battled Ariyana Bonab. In the speeches, Ariyana gave an incredibly enthusiastic speech and got the crowd rallied up while Isabelle gave a short and sweet speech describing what she would do as class Vice President. For the remaining three positions, Emma Connors ran unopposed for Secretary, Brooklyn Manna ran unopposed for Class Representative, and Kaylyn Pacheco ran unopposed for Treasurer. All three girls presented short and to the point speeches explaining that they had no opposers and described what they would each do individually to help the class of 2020.  

After sophomore primaries were held on October 4th, excitement was in the air as the presidential spot was narrowed from four candidates to two. The class voted, and history repeated itself as Bella LoRusso and Marc Beliard became the final two candidates for President yet again.

In the Junior class, candidates Bobby Concannon and Sumeya Abrar went head to head in a once again epic battle for the Presidential spot. In speeches, Bobby won over the audience with his words while Sumeya rose to the next level and rapped her speech. Sumeya had the crowd roaring by the end of her epic rap, and impressed not only her classmates, but herself. Sumeya Abrar told the Bull’s Eye.

“There was really no rivalry between Bobby and I. We have always respected each other and this year was just like any other year.” Next, Jesse Stocker and Alice O’Brien both ran unopposed for the positions of Vice President and Secretary respectively. Although running unopposed, neither candidates speeches showed any slack and both convinced the class of 2019 why they deserved these spots. The high energy competition was between Ryan Qualey, Renato Rosso, and Bryant Keatley for the Class Representative spot. All three boys proved themselves of possessing high quality traits that would make them successful for the spot.  

The Junior class voted in primaries and narrowed the three Class Representative candidates down to two. It was announced unexpectedly that Renato Rosso had been eliminated from the race which left Ryan Qualey against Bryant Keatley.

In the Senior class all positions had either one or two candidates per position. The Senior class runners took their final high school election very seriously. However, the rest of the class didn’t. Vice President candidate Liz Werner admits to the Bull’s Eye that the student election isn’t important to ALL students.

Liz says, “To those that are involved it means literally the world… For those [who] aren’t super involved with the activities committee, this year’s elections were a joke. There was a ton of controversy and drama because the Presidential race was going to be super close. For me, they’re important because this set of class officers decides what happens to [our class] not only for this year, but every five years for reunions.” Going for the Presidential position was Matthew Pollard against Sarah Weber. Both made an amazing effort to get their voice and views out to their classmates. The Vice Presidential spot was between Liz Werner and Bryan Govostes.  Secretary was Robert Dickey against Tracey Kalungi and Class Representative was between Shayla Callahan and Jenn Campbell. Isabelle Claude ran unopposed for the class treasurer, guaranteeing herself in her final high school student election. Myron Masotta ran against Jake Pineo for the Regional Student Advisor position, which is specific to the senior class.  

Unlike every other grade, the senior class did not need to vote in the primaries. Each position was already between one or two candidates and did not need anymore narrowing down before the final election.  

Tension and excitement built up throughout all four grades in WMHS leading up to the final election. When the announcement came through the loudspeaker, the school became almost dead silent. In some classrooms, you could hear a pin drop. Student Council members came over the speaker and reported the election results, starting with the freshman class. Below are the final results of each grade’s final votes.

After the final votes were announced, all elected students were extremely happy with their personal outcome and success. Fred Parziale ran a tight race against three other freshman candidates but proved himself to be high and was elected. Sophomore president Bella LoRusso talked to the Bull’s Eye about how she felt when she heard the results that she had been elected President for the class of 2020.

“When I sat in my science class and heard the announcements go off I was nervous because people told me everyday how I was going to lose… Hearing my name instantly filled me with joy. It’s an honor for me to know that the class of 2020 trusts me to be their class president. Knowing that just makes me want to do even better for my class. I can’t wait to get started and look forward to another fabulous year!” All elected students will be incredibly politically active in the WMHS community throughout the 2017-2018 school year. Junior Sumeya Abrar fell short in votes to Bobby Concannon who took the presidential spot.

Sumeya, a fellow Bull’s eye writer tells the Bull’s Eye, “I think [Bobby’s] elections in the past may have boosted his chance for re-election this year. I’m definitely going to run next year, because I’m running to show democracy!” Overall, the senior class ran a tight race in almost all positions. There was a lot of drama and tension throughout all grades wondering who would be elected, since all candidates were outstanding.
